ABOUT US
Hi, I'm Jules! I'm the owner behind Opal Aesthetics! I am a Fine Line Tattoo Artist in Bucks County Pennsylvania. I started tattooing part-time in 2023, while I was still working in Hospitality (Restaurants). I will always love the wine world, but tattooing opened the door to channel my creativity that was always held back in restaurants. In early 2024, after spending 11 years in California, my husband and I moved back to PA, after having our son. In January 2025, Opal Aesthetics was born. Opal is a play on my husbands and I last names, O’Brien and Palermo. Opening Opal has been a true reflection of who I am. The environment and calm experience I strive to provide my clients a safe space to get a tattoo. PRE & POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS + Come to the appointment hydrated and having eaten before. + Wear comfortable clothing that makes the area to be tattooed easy to access. + Please arrive to your appointment with the area we are tattooing shaven, exfoliating, and moisturized. KEEP IN MIND + Cannot be pregnant or nursing + Must be at least 6 months off Accutane + Must be 18 years of age + No children allowed at your appointment + If you have a medical condition you must have your doctor sign off that it is safe for you to be tattooed POST TATTOO INSTRUCTIONS DAY 1 - 6 + Leave your proactive wrap on for at minimum 24 HOURS, no longer than 6 days. + The longer you can leave it on the quicker it will heal naturally. + When removing the wrap, thoroughly wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap and with warm water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel or towel. + Apply a thin layer of the healing balm I have provided you with (or Aquaphor). + Keep your tattoo hydrated with a consistent layer or healing balm on it until healed. (I like to say the same thickness layer as you would chapstick on your lips). + PLEASE NOTE: IT IS NORMAL FOR THERE TO BE SOME COLOR/INK/BLOOD/LYMPHATIC RESIDUE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE WRAP + During the first 3-4 days, it is so important to wash your tattoo and re-apply your ointment as needed. When washing, use the same steps as above. Keeping your tattoo hydrated and clean is going to give you the best results during your healing process. + After the first 4-7 days, you will no longer need to wash the tattoo. Avoid letting heat run directly on the tattoo when showering. + Apply a thin layer of healing balm as needed or whenever your tattoo is feeling dry. It is normal for flakes of color to be coming off at this stage. Allow them to do so naturally. DO NOT PICK OR ITCH AT ANY SCABS! DAY 7 - 14 + At this point you can start applying lotions to the area. Keep the tattoo from getting wet still and continue to avoid baths, hot tubs, swimming pools, and lakes. After showering, pat dry. It is normal for the area to be itchy. Try to not scratch and avoid tight or restricting clothing that might rub against the tattoo. Keep your tattoo out of the sun as much as possible. While tanning or in tanning beds, cover your tattoo. DAY 15 - LIFETIME + Continue using lotions as needed or when your tattoo looks dry. You should always put sunscreen on your tattoo anytime you are in the sun. Sun exposure is the number one reason why people's tattoos fade.
